Resume

Tânia Moreira is a Junior Researcher at the Psychology Research Center, University of Minho, who has significantly contributed to Applied Psychology. Tânia was awarded a Ph.D. grant in 2016 and completed her Ph.D. in Applied Psychology in 2021 from the University of Minho. Her research has primarily focused on acculturation processes and outcomes, particularly on families and students from marginalized ethnic groups. She is passionate about understanding and closing the achievement gap for ethnic minorities and is developing a research line in this area. Tânia's contributions to the field of Psychology are well-recognized. She has published 23 articles in peer-reviewed journals, which have gained considerable attention and citation (h-index Scopus: 8; google scholar: 9). Moreover, Tânia is leading a research team (REDeEM), co-supervising 4 Ph.D. thesis and 2 MSc dissertations, and 2 research assistants which reflects her commitment to mentor and guide the next generation of researchers. In addition to her research and teaching activities, Tânia has enrolled in a substantial international scientific network, enabling her to share and exchange knowledge with other researchers and practitioners interested in evidence-based interventions. In September 2022, Tânia was granted the opportunity to participate in a research stay abroad, which allowed her to develop skills and competencies and seek synergies with other research groups by building international collaboration and networks. Furthermore, Tânia was selected to be part of the International Mentoring Program promoted by the International Mentoring Foundation for the Advancement of Higher Education (IMFAHE). This program aims to facilitate effective networking that fosters global collaborations and knowledge exchange while providing valuable tools and information on how to excel as a researcher and professor. T. Moreira has been a team member of several projects and also participates in submitting national and international project proposals. Because of her effort and investment, she is well-positioned to continue making significant contributions to the fields of psychology and education.
