João Santiago completed his degree in Psychology and his Master's in Psychology of Justice: Victims of Crime, at the Lusófona University of Porto. Currently, he has collaborated with several researchers in carrying out several projects related to intimate partner violence (IPV) perpetrated against men, and bidirectional violence in intimate relationships. Specifically, João Santiago is collaborating on the writing and submission of scientific articles on the perceptions of frontline professionals (e.g. police officers, judges, health professionals) on IPV perpetrated against men, as well as articles on the prevalence of bidirectional violence in Portugal, and in specific communities (e.g., college students).
