The Research Group on Self-regulated Learning (GUIA) is a group of researchers from different Portuguese and foreign universities who study learning and instructional processes.
Together, we direct our efforts towards investigating learning processes and self-regulation processes at different stages of human development.
Despite a lack of space in our office that greets us every morning, we are enthusiastic and slightly bustling. We believe that our work can help people we will never meet, and this certainty fuels our desire, especially on difficult days. Like the ancient Greek masters, we know that we cannot change the wind that lashes our boat, but we can always adjust the sails to reach our port.
