Rui Abrunhosa Gonçalves holds a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology from the University of Minho (1997), where he is currently an Associate Professor with Aggregation. He is a forensic psychologist at the Consultation Unit in Justice and Community Psychology, where he is primarily dedicated to forensic assessment and intervention with violent and dangerous offenders. He has conducted and coordinated research on the prison system, psychopathy, intimate partner offenders, sexual offenders, and forensic psychology.
