Resume

É licenciada e doutorada em Psicologia Clínica pela Escola de Psicologia da Universidade do Minho, onde é atualmente investigadora auxiliar, acumulando funções de docência e psicóloga clínica na Associação de Psicologia da EPsi. Tem focado o seu interesse de investigação na compreensão de diferentes comportamentos alimentares desajustados e no desenvolvimento de intervenções para a população com obesidade. Mais recentemente, está a trabalhar no desenvolvimento de uma plataforma de apoio a profissionais da área e a explorar o a modulação do eixo Gut-Brain na compreensão da compulsão alimentar. Tem sido PI de diferentes projetos financiados pela FCT que estudam diferentes populações no espetro da idade (desde crianças a idosos com maior destaque para adolescentes e adultos), do peso (desde peso normal/baixo a obesidade grave como na cirurgia bariátrica) e da psicopatologia (de comportamentos normativos a psicopatológicos). É atualmente membro da Eating Disorders Research Society e já desempenhou funções de coordenação do Núcleo de Psicologia e Cirurgia da Obesidade – NPCO (2010-2016), foi vice-presidente do NDCA – Núcleo de Doenças do Comportamento Alimentar (2014-2017) e vogal da SPCO – Sociedade Portuguesa para o Estudo da Obesidade. Tem vários trabalhos publicados em revistas nacionais e internacionais, acumulando mais de 1300 citações, H-índex 18. Recebeu vários prémios de mérito, nomeadamente, o Early Research Career Award da Eating Disorders Research Society em 2014.
